All orders placed through the online shop are placed via Stripe. You will receive an email once you have purchased confirming the order has gone through. If you would like something that is not available from my website, please contact me using the form on the contact page.
All orders to the UK are posted 2nd Class Recorded at a charge of £4.00. Please note most pieces are made to order and may take up to two weeks to deliver, larger pieces taking more. Gold plated pieces may take up to 6 weeks to arrive if they are not in stock. Once the item has been posted, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number for your reference. For status updates on your order, feel free to contact me and I will keep you informed of the process. If you would like to enquire how long a certain piece will take or if the item is in stock and ready to posted, again please contact me using the form on the contact page.
Please make sure to enter the correct address at checkout, it is important that you do so. If not entered correctly and the parcel is returned to us we will have to recharge for postage. In the unlikely event that the goods become damaged in transit, it is important that you let us know as soon as possible and we can investigate this. If you do not report this as soon as possible, we are not obliged to reimburse you and accept responsibility for the damage.
I do offer International Tracked and Signed for at a flat rate of £12.00, however Emily Higham Jewellery is not responsible for the cost of any duties or tax that may arise as a result from delivery.
All jewellery pieces come packaged in a labelled Emily Higham Jewellery box with ribbon, tissue paper, a thank you/care card and a with compliments card. If your item is a gift and you would like a message included with your order, please contact me via the form on the contact page once purchased and let me know the message you would like included.
RETURNS
If you are not happy with your piece for whatever reason, please contact me using the form on the contact page and we can try to resolve the issue. Please note all pieces are handmade and therefore no piece is ever the same. Each pattern within the enamel is completely unique due to the hand drawn qualities and nature of the enamel when fired in the kiln, therefore making each piece one of a kind. The jewellery may not be exactly the same pattern in photographs but it will be unique and one of a kind to you.
If you would like to cancel an order or request a different shipping address, please get in touch within 24 hours of your purchase.
If you would like to simply exchange or return an item, please get in touch within 14 days of delivery. Please note that we will not be responsible for the postage costs of returning or exchanging goods. This is the customers responsibility and Emily Higham Jewellery will not be liable for any postage costs. Refunds will only be administered once the item has been returned in full with the original packaging and is deemed to be in fit condition. We will also not be liable for any items that may get lost in transit. Returns cannot be accepted for items purchased anywhere other than www.emilyhighamjewellery.com.
JEWELLERY CARE
My Jewellery is primarily made from Enamel and Sterling Silver.
Vitreous enamel is glass and although pieces are fairly hard wearing, care should be taken not to drop, apply any force or scratch the surface of the enamel. I would advise not to get your piece wet and avoid any contact with chemicals. Take your piece off before showering and washing up. It is recommended to put your piece on over a soft floor such as carpet and stored separately from other jewellery. If your silver has become slightly tarnished and needs shining up, a silver polishing cloth works well.
Gold plated pieces should only be gently rubbed with a jewellery polishing cloth to remove any tarnish.
Some of my pieces are oxidised which means the silver is placed in a chemical solution to blacken the silver. Oxidisation is semi-permanent and the colour may fade and rub off over time, especially if in contact with chemicals and with any abrasion. Jewellery can be re oxidised and if you would like this, please contact Emily using the form on the contact page.
